Aus German Software Architecture Board wird International Software Architecture Qualification Board e.V.
German Software Architecture Board now transformed to International Software Architecture Qualification Board e.V.
Weltweit wurden bisher ca. 500 Certified Professional for Software Architecture Zertifikate verliehen.
Als Vorsitzender wurde Wolfgang Fahl und als stellvertretende Vorsitzende Mahbouba Gharbi gewählt.
Today, the International Software Architecture Qualification e.V. (ISAQB e.V.) comes into existence. The choice of the e.V. (eingetragener Verein– registered society) legal form is part of the development of the Board as a non-profit organisation. As part of the restructuring, various changes have been made to working practices. The board members are convinced that the new legal form is ideally suited to the ISAQB’s function as an independent and neutral commission dedicated to promoting the Certified Professional for Software Architecture qualification.
The ISAQB e.V. is open to experts from industry, consultants, trainers, scientists and specialists from other organisations. Special emphasis is placed on the further establishment of the Certified Professional for Software Architecture programme at university level, making it easier to move directly from further education to a software architecture career. An important new development is the provision for supporting memberships. In the near future, the ISAQB e.V. will respond to growing demand for examinations by nominating additional certification bodies. In addition, efforts will be made to raise awareness outside the original software-quality field – for example with project managers, software developers and members of other specialist groups. The longstanding certification partnership with the Software Quality Institute (iSQI) will be maintained. All previously issued certificates for Certified Professional for Software Architecture qualifications remain valid.
Currently, the ISAQB e.V. is working on the translation of the new Certified Professional for Software Architecture syllabus along with the examination questions and their national variants. Around 500 Certified Professional for Software Architecture certificates have been issued world-wide so far.
