The iSAQB has released the new curriculum version 2026.1 of the CPSA‑A module GREEN (Green Software – Development of Resource-Efficient Applications).
The changes from version 2024.1 to 2026.1 include a new chapter on artificial intelligence and sustainability.
Some learning goals were reordered, such as placing computational complexity before data structures and algorithms, and presenting methodologies before tools.
Content adjustments were made, including moving peak shaving to the new chapter and relocating the CI/CD pipeline measurement. New topics, such as fluctuating carbon dioxide intensity and water usage effectiveness, were introduced, while Chapter 7 was streamlined and expanded to include GreenOps and Greenwashing.
The former Chapter 8 has been renumbered as Chapter 9, English keywords have been standardized, categories of measurement tools have been updated, and literature has been revised across multiple chapters.
