The iSAQB has published the new curriculum version 2026.1 of the CPSA‑A module REQ4ARC (Requirements for Software Architects).
The revised REQ4ARC curriculum introduces one entirely new chapter: AI in Requirements Engineering (LG 7-1 to 7-3). In addition, several learning goals now explicitly include further techniques, such as identifying and resolving conflicting requirements, Impact Mapping, Personas and User Journey Maps, as well as Prototypes and Mockups.
The curriculum structure has been slightly reorganized: Cooperation between Roles, previously the final topic under “REQ-ARCH Development Process”, is now Chapter 2. The subsequent chapters have therefore shifted by one position, with the example now appearing as Chapter 10. Apart from the new AI content, the existing chapters remain substantively unchanged; only their chapter numbers and learning-goal IDs have changed. No teaching content was removed.
The timings have also been rebalanced, while the module’s total duration remains unchanged at 18 hours (1,080 minutes). Finally, a complete German translation has been added, meaning the curriculum is now available in both English and German.
