“Basiswissen für Softwarearchitekten” can be pre-ordered now!

The 6th updated and revised edition of “Basiswissen für Softwarearchitekten: Aus- und Weiterbildung nach iSAQB-Standard zum Certified Professional for Software Architecture — Foundation Level” written Mahbouba Gharbi, Prof. Dr. Arne Koschel, Prof. Dr. Andreas Rausch and Dr. Gernot Starke can now be pre-ordered. It complements the official iSAQB Foundation Level training and helps deepen the knowledge while preparing for the certification exam.

About the book:

Software architecture is a key success factor for software projects. In the sense of a systematic design, it ensures that quality requirements such as extensibility, flexibility, performance or time-to-market can be met.

The book “Basiswissen für Softwarearchitekten” provides the necessary knowledge and skills to design a problem-adequate software architecture for systems.

It deals with

  • important terms and concepts of software architecture
  • basic techniques and methods for design and development
  • the description, communication and quality assurance of software architectures
  • the role, tasks and working environment of software architects
  • categories and decision criteria for the selection of specific tools

The book is based on the syllabus for the “Certified Professional for Software Architecture — Foundation Level” (CPSA‑F), version 2025.1, of the International Software Architecture Qualification Board (iSAQB) and is therefore not only ideal for exam preparation, but also serves as a compact basic work on these topics in practice and at universities.
